Sp’winter Jaunt in the Lower Battery

Sometimes, I like to go out for a photo walk. It’s much more fun when you’re with a friend. Tammy and I ventured to the Lower Battery in St. John’s today to take photos of the random things that crossed our path. Getting out for a photo walk is really an exercise in seeing for me. Being free from the pressure of the paid shoot, I can explore and photograph things that often go unnoticed, paying closer attention and exploring the beauty of the little things. It was a sunny day and as you’ll see in the photos, winter is still going strong into spring here on the rock.

To start, we met an affectionate little friend.
